Only a few have decided to do something about it and start small businesses that save big money. The hard part is for you is knowing where to find these small businesses. Most independents don’t sticker their work trucks like the big dealers. The hard part for us is to get found by businesses and be given the opportunity to show the level of customer service we have to offer.

The Process

When your current service provider shows up to do your scheduled service and gives you a list of necessary repairs, instead of immediately approving the repairs, ask for a quote and then call or text Accelerated Equipment Service or visit the Get A Quote page and request a quote. Once you see how much you can save, there will be no question who you want to do the repair.

You don’t have to kick out your current service provider just yet. They will try to convince you that the quality of repair is substandard or that the parts quality is lower. Be assured that there is no difference in the parts quality since we all use the same parts suppliers. As far as the quality of the technician goes, I have likely worked for them and if I still did, you would get the same technician at a much higher labor rate. Remember it is the best technicians that make the move to start the small business and have the knowledge to go out on their own.

“I Am Under a Contract”

Unless you are paying a monthly maintenance fee for each of your forklifts, you are not under a service contract. Most service contracts are non-binding contracts and can be broken at any time.

You will likely be told or think that you are under contract with these dealers. This is a tactic used to get a second chance to retain your business by playing sales and offering a better labor rate (which will not beat mine) or they will simply tell you why an independent cannot support you like they can. The truth of the matter is, there is no binding contract with forklift service. If you own the forklift, you can have anyone you want work on it. If you signed a service agreement with the company, that is just to give them a thirty-day notice of cancellation. They will send in a salesman that will try their best to convince you that you are making a huge mistake. It also requires you to give up the unit for service in a timely manner when the technician shows up. Accelerated Equipment Service does not require these agreements. We are much more confident in our customer service level.
